After emigrating from Pakistan in the late 1970s, Khan worked in IBM sales before striking out on his own to start up Jeskell in 1991. It began with Khan, one sales rep and a part time tech. Today, Jeskell is a $130M company, has operated in the black since its founding, and has never taken on debt or outside investors. Ranked in the top 5 percent of IBM Business Partners, Jeskell has increased revenues 225 percent in the past four years and has moved from #382 on the VARBusiness 500 list in 2004 to #199 today.
“I am honored by this recognition”, says Khan, “but much of the credit goes to the many others—employees, vendors, and IBM, our supportive business partner for more than 15 years—who have been instrumental in the company’s success. It has truly been a team effort.”
